PROPOSED CELL TOWER IN POINT REYES ALERT

The horse is out of the barn and there is no going back. Cell phones and cell towers are here to stay. However, there is no reason not to have common sense health and safety precautions applied to an industry hell bent on profit.
Along with other locations throughout West Marin, AT&T has a proposed location for a new 70 foot cell tower (with 9 different antennas) just north of Point Reyes Station, less than a mile from residential neighborhoods. The closer the proximity, the more likely there are to be harmful health effects and a negative impact on property values. The proposed location is too close and too powerful.
This proposed 4G cell tower infrastructure is likely intended to be the backbone for a future 5G network in our area. This has been AT&T and Verizon’s strategy in other places. If installed at this proximity to residential areas, it could devalue property and significantly increase radio frequency radiation in our community.
Peer-reviewed published science shows that cell tower radiation is harmful to the environment, has a probable link to cancer, and can cause: sleep problems, heart arrhythmias, anxiety, headaches, ringing in the ears, and other health problems.
Without informed opposition, AT&T, et al will simply roll over us- unless we do something about it.
